JULIA PAULSEN MULLIN  | Associate

At Tangible, Julia focuses on small area plans, economic context analysis, strategic planning for organizations and the community engagement that creates relevant and useful planning. She is comfortable working with and within complex organizations, as well as relating easily with the person next door.  A common thread in her work for neighborhoods, cities, schools, and others, is her effectiveness in surfacing core values and vision, and linking those to effective action.

In a 10 year tenure at the City of Minneapolis, Julia served as city planner and assistant to the City Coordinator.  She coauthored the City’s comprehensive plan, and navigated controversial zoning issues.  She led staff teams in the development of a neighborhood planning/investment program which supported community-level prioritization within a city-wide budget framework.

Julia enjoys facilitating public and institutional decision-making around complex issues, and advancing project implementation.
